Everyone at work has been sick. And not like, little sneezes sick, but full blown, call off work sick. One girl left midshift on Friday because her ears were so blocked up that she couldn 't hear and it finally made her snap. I'm the only one who hasn't been sick yet, but I worked with at least 3 sickos last weekend, so I'm sure I've been exposed.
Then, my female roommate has a terrible case of influenze...one that had her sent to the ER with chest pains and difficulty breathing. She's gone home-home to recover, so I'm not actively being exposed, but I'm sure the virus is lurking on the door handles and everything, so again, already exposed.
I don't want to get sick. I'm a miserable miserable miserable sick person. I was sick in December and that's more than enough for me this season.
So I'm going to pretend that this little sore throat issue is a figment of my imagination.

Bleah! I hate sick people contaminating my workspace! Wash hands like a maniac!! Take megadoses of vitamin C!! Drink lots of clear fluids. Stay warm and happy. Oh boy. I hope you don't get sick.
I've got the handwashing down (people at work think I'm crazy for washing my hands so much!) and I bought OJ and grapefruit to supplement my vitamin C intake! I just hate that I had to work in close quarters with the sickos while the coughed and sneezed. Ugh.
I recently stayed at a friend's place for a couple of days while my friend had pinkeye. I don't understand how, but I got out of there without catching it myself. I hope you have equally good luck staying healthy!
I'm hoping for it! Luckily the influenza my roommate supposedly had was downgraded to an upper respiratory infection, which I am a pro at beating (my family at home is constantly plagued with them, except me!)
